Yuk King Tan

Yuk King Tan is one of New Zealand’s most celebrated contemporary artists. An Australian-born Chinese New Zealander based in Hong Kong, her work spans diverse materials and media regarding the intersection between culture, work and identity, often culminating in a performative investigation towards political issues such as value and economy. Yuk King Tan has had major solo and group exhibitions in New Zealand and internationally and has work held in the permanent collections of Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki and the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa.

As part of the AAAH2018 Symposium @ Te Papa, Yuk King Tan was part of the Reimagining Paradise panel, in conversation with Vera Mey and Luise Fong, facilitated by Sarah Farrar.
